I bought this book as a gift, but I had a chance to look through it before I wrapped it. It was so detailed and beautiful that I can't imagine who wouldn't love looking at all the designs. I don't paint my nails, but I was tempted to go out and buy a nail brush just to do some of the designs! My 13-year-old granddaughter loved it!
This is going to be a Christmas present for my 10 year old, who's getting way into doing her nails. The designs are all pretty clearly geared toward a younger rather than an older audience, as can be seen by the nail art itself. The photos are pretty clearly of a younger person's (good!) attempt at the designs, which is definitely a bonus given who the recipient is. I love the easy step by step instructions with big color pictures, and many of these designs look really cool!
I got this book as a gift for someone who is always doing her nails (so much that all of her friends ask her to do theirs!) and I liked that it is all about painting your nails and doesn't involve fancy stuff like gems, etc. While gems could be fun, for me they aren't that realistic on a daily basis, and I like that this book simply involves nail polish.Each page is dedicated to a new design with easy-to-follow steps. The layout and pictures are fantastic! It has a great and creative variety.My only complaint is that in my opinion the book physically looks like it would be bigger online but it's much smaller in actuality-I was really surprised.
I am new to the nail art world and love how easy the step-by-step instructions are to follow! Im enjoying the learning process a lot more!
This is an excellent book for DIY nail painters. It has a lot of great ideas as well as excellent step-by-step instructions on how to do those steps. It even tells you what will be needed for that particular design. I have used this book countless times, sometimes changing the colors up to my own style, but I can honestly say that I have used every design in here and I would buy from this seller again and again as well as the author!The book is well written and was edited well.
I just started doing my nails and this was a great beginners book, gave me some great tips and ideas. Each of the designs gives detailed step-by-step instructions and pictures. Very easy. I bought this as the Kindle version and had no problems viewing it on my Kindle and android phone.My only complaint--and the reason I didn't give it 5 stars--is that most of the designs are either too childish for my tastes or too loud and flashy. I only liked three or four of the designs out of the 75 presented. I needed designs that are more adult in style, classy and elegant for the work place instead.Having said that this book did give me a good understanding of several basic techniques so I can now attempt my own designs more suited to my tastes.All in all, I would recommend it for beginners as a good place to start.
"GREAT FOR BEGINNERS" I PURCHASED THIS BOOK TO MAYBE GET SOME IDEAS AND STRETCH THE IMAGINATION FOR THE NAIL ART I DO ON MY NAILS AND ON MY GRANDDAUGHTERS ' NAILS .THIS BOOK IS IN FACT PERFECT FOR YOUNGER GIRLS WHO WANT TO LEARN NAIL ART . I MYSELF FOUND THE DESIGNS BASIC, VERY ORDINARY, YET EASY FOR BEGINNERS AND YOUNGER NAIL ART INTHUSISTS. I WILL KEEP THIS BOOK BECAUSE I DO HAVE 5 GRANDDAUGHTERS WHO I WANT TO SOON DO THEIR OWN NAILS , AS FOR THE MORE TALENTED NAIL ART GALS , THIS BOOK IN MY OWN OPINION WOULD NOT BE VERY USEFUL.
